Marcela advises clients on global renewable energy projects from the early development stage through to construction and operation.
She has several years of experience assisting on the development and construction of projects within diverse infrastructure sectors, with a particular focus on the renewable energy sector.
In her previous role, Marcela worked as in-house counsel at one of Brazil’s largest construction conglomerates. In this role, she was responsible for negotiating and drafting EPC contracts and other project agreements, such as supply agreements, offtake agreements, power purchase agreements and installation agreements. As in-house counsel, her work included advising on all stages of projects, from planning, contract negotiation and execution to claims management and dispute resolution.
Among Marcela’s current roles, she advises a major American utility company and its co-investment partners, in relation to the installation of one of the first utility-scale offshore wind projects in the USA.
