Blackstone becomes co-owner of Eurowind Energy

Blackstone Infrastructure (“Blackstone”) has concluded an agreement to invest up to EUR 2bn in Eurowind Energy. As part of the transaction, Blackstone will become a co-owner with a 24.7% equity stake. Eurowind Energy is jointly owned by Danish integrated energy and telecoms conglomerate Norlys. Norlys and the original founders of will continue as majority owners.

Eurowind Energy is headquartered in Hobro, Denmark, and develops, constructs and operates energy assets across onshore wind, solar, battery storage and biogas solutions in 16 markets across Europe and the USA. The company currently has a total installed capacity of approx.1.6 GW.

Eurowind Energy expects to construct new energy parks with a total capacity of 1.5 GW per year through to 2030. The company also plans to expand existing parks with battery installations for electricity storage.

The transaction is expected to close before the end of 2026 and is subject to completion of customary closing conditions, including relevant regulatory approvals.
