Blackstone becomes co-owner of Eurowind Energy

Blackstone has entered into an agreement to invest up to EUR 2bn in Eurowind Energy and, as part of the transaction, will become a co-owner with an equity stake of 24.7%. Accura advised Norlys in connection with the transaction, and Norlys and Eurowind’s original founders will remain the majority owners.

Eurowind Energy is headquartered in Hobro and develops, constructs and operates energy assets across onshore wind, solar, battery storage and biogas solutions in sixteen European markets. The company currently has a total installed capacity of 1.6 GW.

Eurowind Energy expects to develop new energy parks with a total capacity of 1.5 GW per year up to 2030. The company also plans to expand existing assets with battery solutions for electricity storage.

The transaction is expected to close before the end of 2026 and is subject to customary closing conditions, including relevant regulatory approvals.
