CivicPlus has closed its sale of the IT business Monsido to Acquia.
Monsido is a leading SaaS platform for monitoring website accessibility, content quality, search engine optimisation (SEO), data privacy and performance. The business was formed in 2014 and today employs more than 100 people at offices in Denmark, England, the USA and Australia.
CivicPlus is a leader in the development of public-sector integrated technology solutions. CivicPlus has more than 950 employees, and its solutions are used daily by more than 340 million people in the USA and Canada alone.
Monsido has been owned by CivicPlus since June 2022 when CivicPlus, assisted by Accura, acquired the Optimere Group, which, besides Monsido, also includes the IT businesses Archivesocial and Nextrequest.
Monsido will now become part of Acquia DXP, which is Acquia’s open digital experience platform for building, managing and delivering optimised website experiences. Acquia is majority-owned by Vista Equity Partners, a leading investment firm focusing on software, data and technology.
