JP/Politikens Hus acquires world-leading design and architecture media brand

JP/Politiken Hus has acquired Dezeen which is the world’s leading design and architecture media brand.

Dezeen is headquartered in London and was originally launched as a blog established by journalist Marcus Fairs in 2006. Since then, Dezeen has developed into a global media brand providing independent, high-quality journalism within design and architecture.

Dezeen has won several awards for its innovative and independent journalism and has over 3 million monthly unique visitors and over 6.5 million social media followers.

In addition to their advertising-financed editorial publications, Dezeen also has a portfolio of related services, including Dezeen Jobs, Dezeen Awards, Dezeen Showroom and Dezeen Studio.

Dezeen is JP/Politikens Hus’ first acquisition outside Scandinavia. The acquisition is part of JP/Politikens Hus’ 2025 strategy, with one of the objectives being to increase revenue from DKK 3bn to DKK 5bn.

Dezeen will be organisationally based in JP/Politiken’s Business Media which also consists of Watch Medier, Ritzau Finans and ownership interests in Infomedia, Børsen and LassoX.
