iMotions sold to Swedish market leader

The Danish software company iMotions has been sold to the listed Swedish company Smart Eye for approx. DKK 300m.

iMotions has developed a software platform that analyses and provides a comprehensive understanding of human behaviour using more than 50 sensors that track eye movements, facial expressions, sweat gland activity, brain activity and heart rate.

iMotions was founded in 2005 and is headquartered in Copenhagen with offices in Boston, Singapore and Berlin. The company’s solutions are used by more than 1,300 customers worldwide, including universities, global brands and governments.

After the transaction, iMotions will continue under its own name as a subsidiary to Smart Eye.

Smart Eye is the global leader in Human Insight AI which is a technology used for supporting and predicting human behaviour. The company has several global customers, including NASA, Nissan, Boeing and Harvard University.
