Designers Company sold to global design group

The Danish company Designers Company has been sold to the global high-end design group Design Holding.

Designers Company owns several design and fashion brands, including MENU, by Lassen, The Audo and Brdr. Petersen. When the private equity fund Polaris acquired MENU in 2018, it formed Designers Company and, since then, it has acquired several other design businesses. Since its formation, Polaris has been the majority shareholder while several of the original owners of the design businesses have had minority shareholdings.

Design Holding has brought together several industry-leading brands, including FLOS, B&B Italia, Louis Poulsen, Arclinea, FENDI Casa, Maxalto and Azucena. The group is jointly owned by the investment companies Investindustrial and The Carlyle Group.

Accura assisted the original owners in connection with the sale to Polaris and the reinvestment and has also assisted the same original owners in connection with this sale and parts of the management with the reinvestment.
