The Danish podcast platform Podimo has received a capital injection of DKK 516m in connection with a series B investment round.
Podimo was formed in September 2019, and, with the new investment, it has raised capital four times adding up to more than DKK 700m. Accura has acted as global advisor to the company since the beginning.
Podimo’s subscription-based platform gives users access to exclusive podcasts, and, today, it is available in Denmark, Germany, Norway and Spain.
The investment round was led by the global venture fund 83North and the new investor Highland Europe. The rest of the investor group consists of Chr. Augustinus, Heartcore, Saban Ventures, Headline and Possible Ventures.
The purpose of the capital injection is to accelerate international growth and make Podimo the market leader.
