Topsoe Project Investment A/S (“Topsoe”) has joined Sasol Investment Company (Pty) Limited in a joint venture dedicated to the production of sustainable aviation fuel (“SAF”).
The purpose of the joint venture is to combine the parties’ expertise and complementary technologies to develop, build, own and operate sustainable aviation fuel plants and market sustainable aviation fuels, derived primarily from non-fossil feedstock, utilising green hydrogen, sustainable sources of CO2 and/or biomass.
On completion of the partnership and a successful cooperation between the parties, the projects pursued under the joint venture have the potential to facilitate a significant and general carbon emission reduction in the field of aviation fuel production.
The joint venture is pending regulatory approvals and satisfaction of final completion items.
