Through its distribution operation Saint-Gobain Distribution, the French multinational manufacturer and distributer of building materials Saint-Gobain has entered into an agreement on the acquisition of the Danish electrical wholesale company “Jens A.” (Jens A. Jacobsen, Aalborg A/S).
Jens A. has been a family-owned company since its formation in 1952 and has offices in Aalborg and Slagelse. The company is a long-time specialist in electrical equipment, lighting engineering and automation solutions. Jens A. sells and distributes products within the electricity industry and supplies technical consultancy services to its customers.
In connection with the acquisition, Jens A. will become part of Saint-Gobain’s Danish distribution business that includes the leading plumbing wholesaler Brødrene Dahl and the plumbing, ventilation and tree divisions Zupply, Øland og Protræ. Together, they employ more than 1,150 employees.
