The world leader of natural food colors, Oterra, has acquired the natural food coloring business from Diana Food.
Oterra is headquartered in Denmark and is formerly known as Chr. Hansen Natural Colors A/S. The company is an EQT portfolio company.
Diana Food’s natural food coloring business is comprised of two production facilities located in France and the UK. Diana Food is owned by Symrise AG, a Germany-based global supplier of fragrances, flavors, food, nutrition and cosmetic ingredients.
The acquisition will further strengthen Oterra’s access to high quality raw materials and complement the company’s agronomy competencies.
The transaction is Oterra’s second acquisition, following the recent acquisition of SECNA Natural Ingredients Group S.L.
The transaction is subject to approval from the authorities.
