Orkla Care Danmark (“Orkla”) has increased its investment in the chewing gum business Eace Gum and now owns 49% of the business.
Eace Gum manufactures functional chewing gum, which makes it possible to consume nutrients by chewing a fresh piece of chewing gum. Eace Gum was formed by Asbjørn Dencker and Ziggi Harttung in 2019, and the products may be found in more than 3,000 stores, primarily in Denmark. One of Eace Gums’s bestselling products White Smile is a result of a collaboration with one of Orkla’s brands, Jordan.
Orkla is a market leader in Denmark within dietary supplements, dental hygiene and wound care products, etc. and is behind famous brands such as UniKalk, HUSK, Livol, Pikasol, Gerimax and Jordan. Orkla has 250 employees in its head office in Vallensbæk, Denmark, and two manufacturing sites in Ishøj and Lynge, Denmark. The business is part of Orkla ASA, a leading industrial investment company headquartered in Oslo, Norway.
The next step for Eace Gum is to strengthen its domestic market, manifest its brand in the Nordic region and launch new products.
