Nordic Climate Group, a portfolio company of Altor Equity Partners, strengthens its presence in Denmark through the acquisition of the two cooling businesses Buus Køleteknik and Nordkøl.
Buus Køleteknik was formed in 1958 and has since become an international industrial business in the cooling industry. 90% of production is exported to countries around the world. Buus Køleteknik is headquartered in Nykøbing Mors, Denmark, and includes the subsidiary Buus ICE.
Nordkøl was formed in 1988 and began by providing services to the maritime and fishing industries, but since expanded its services to include supermarkets, industrial sectors, indoor climate systems and cold rooms and freezer rooms. Moreover, Nordkøl has strong skills within ice machines. The business is headquartered in Hanstholm.
Nordic Climate Group is the leading provider of cooling, heating and energy-efficient installations in the Nordic region and operates in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark. Since Nordic Climate Group entered Denmark in May 2023, it has acquired four businesses with assistance from Accura. The company focuses on helping its customers minimise their carbon footprint while maximising the energy efficiency of their solutions. Nordic Climate Group, which was formed in 2021, shows revenue of SEK 3.5 billion and has 1,200 employees working from 70 local businesses in the Nordic region.
