The international industrial group Klesch Group has acquired Equinor’s Danish refining and terminal business.
The acquisition covers Equinor Refining Denmark A/S and its assets consisting of a refinery in Kalundborg, terminals in Kalundborg and Hedehusene and the associated infrastructure and industrial properties.
The Kalundborg refinery can process 107,000 barrels a day of crude oil and condensate for gasoline, diesel, propane/butane, heating and fuel oil. Its annual production capacity is up to 5.5 million tonnes of oil products.
Klesch Group is an international industrial group mainly involved in the production and trading of oil, metals and other commodities. The group is headquartered in Geneva.
The transaction is subject to approval from the authorities.
