Hunkemöller bought by Parcom and Opportunity Partners

The European lingerie group Hunkemöller has been acquired by the Dutch private equity investors Parcom and Opportunity Partners.

Hunkemöller was founded in 1886 and today operates more than 900 stores in 17 different countries with total expected revenues of EUR 690 million in 2022. In the last six years the group has developed from a chain of physical stores into becoming the leading omni-channel lingerie chain in Europe.

Parcom and Opportunity Partners have significant experience in respect of the development of retail and e-commerce consumer-oriented trademarks and aim to further enhance Hunkemöller’s continued omni-channel growth strategy.

The present owner, Carlyle Group, will retain a minority stake.

The transaction is conditional upon a number of approvals from public authorities as well as an employee sounding.
