Den Sociale Kapitalfond has established a new fund for social impact investments. The fund is the first commercial investment fund of its kind in Scandinavia, and it has received investor commitments of more than DKK 80m from Vækstfonden, Arbejdernes Landsbank, PKA, and SI Safe, etc.
Social impact investment is a method for sustainable and cost-efficient solutions to social challenges. In social impact investment partnerships, the fund finances a social action taken by an organisation or a company offering a solution to a social problem that a municipality needs solved. With the new fund, Den Sociale Kapitalfond wishes to enter into agreements with municipalities etc. on investments in specific social actions to improve the quality of life for socially vulnerable Danes, while ensuring a profit for the investor.
Accura has assisted Den Sociale Kapitalfond with the establishment of the new fund, from the initial structuring considerations over the preparation of fund documentation and registration with the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority to negotiations and closing of the fund.
