Dall Energy secures investment from French private equity fund

The Danish biomass solutions engineering company Dall Energy has received an investment of more than EUR 10 million from the French private equity fund Eiffel Investment Group through Eiffel Essentiel.

Dall Energy has developed a patented gasification technology for biomass plants. In Dall Energy’s furnace, the biomass undergoes an efficient gasification process enabling vaporisation for industrial plants or for district heating purposes. Dall Energy has built plants of a total capacity of 58MW in Denmark, the USA and France, and the company has more projects in the pipeline. The new capital will be used e.g. to provide guarantees for contracts already concluded.

Dall Energy was formed in 2007 by Jens Dall Bentzen, who is still the majority owner. Currently, the company has 25 employees and is headquartered in DTU Science Park in Hørsholm, north of Copenhagen.

Eiffel Investment Group is a French asset manager with more than EUR 5bn in assets under management. The investment was realised through the private equity arm Eiffel Essentiel, which invests in companies participating in the green transition.
