Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners enters into joint venture with Global Power Synergy in Thailand

Copenhagen Infrastructure New Markets Fund I (“CI NMF I”), a fund managed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (“CIP”), has signed a joint venture agreement with Global Power Synergy (“GPSC”) to establish a joint venture company which will develop wind energy projects in Thailand.

The collaboration also focuses on the study of potential areas for development of new wind energy projects, application of the best-in-class technology and the participation in government tender schemes in accordance with Thailand’s power development plan. The joint venture aims to become the leader in wind energy in Thailand.

The first projects will be two onshore wind farms in Thailand that are already under development.

As lead counsel to CIP, Accura drafted and negotiated all transaction documents relating to the joint venture, including the joint venture agreement, shareholders’ agreement and share purchase agreement.

Accura’s global-leading Renewable Energy Team consists of more than 60 persons, exclusively providing advice on renewable energy.
