Chr. Augustinus Fabrikker acquires Louis Poulsen

Chr. Augustinus Fabrikker is acquiring the iconic Danish design brand Louis Poulsen in a billion-kroner transaction. Since 2018, Louis Poulsen has been owned by the Italian design conglomerate Flos B&B Italia Group.

Louis Poulsen was founded in 1874 and is one of the most prominent names in the history of Danish design. The company is best known for lamps such as Koglen, Panthella and PH 5, and, through its collaborations with leading designers and architects such as Poul Henningsen, Arne Jacobsen, Verner Panton and Vilhelm Lauritzen, it has helped shape Danish design.

Under the ownership of Flos B&B Italia Group, Louis Poulsen has delivered sustained growth, driven in part by increased international expansion, including a stronger presence outside the Nordic region and in key markets such as the United States and Japan.

With the acquisition, Louis Poulsen returns to Danish ownership and gains a long-term owner with experience from international design companies with Danish roots, such as Fritz Hansen.

The transaction is subject to the usual public authority approvals and is expected to be completed in the second half of 2026.

Accura advised Chr. Augustinus Fabrikker in connection with the transaction.
