BornFiber sold to British private equity fund

The family-owned investment company Zibra has sold 85% of the Danish fibre-optic company BornFiber to the British private equity fund iCON Infrastructure.

BornFiber provides fibre-optic solutions for TV and internet access on Bornholm, and the company’s network covers 90% of Bornholm households.

The sale of the controlling interest to iCON Infrastructure is intended to support future growth and expansion of BornFiber to cover the rest of Denmark and Northern Germany.

Zibra will keep the remaining 15% of the shares and continue as an active partner and investor.
