BeGreen sold to Equinor

The Danish solar project developer BeGreen has been sold to the international energy company Equinor. The sellers are Bregentved Group and members of the executive board.

BeGreen develops and constructs solar farms to produce certified green energy. Since its formation, the company has developed, sold and delivered solar cells with a total capacity of 700 MW and, moreover, has a project pipeline of more than 6 GW in Denmark, Sweden and Poland.

Following the acquisition, BeGreen will be a subsidiary of Equinor, and the current team of approx. 40 employees will continue in their current positions.

Backed by Equinor, BeGreen wishes to accelerate their contribution to the green transition and the goal of making Europe independent of energy supply.

Accura has acted as lead legal counsel to the sellers in connection with the transaction.
