Babcock International has sold its Oil and Gas aviation business which provides oil and gas crew transportation services to drilling rigs and other offshore energy fields.
The divested business operates in several countries and provides crew transportation services to offshore sites in Denmark, the UK and Australia.
The buyer is the international helicopter company CHC Group, and, in connection with the transaction, it acquires more than 500 employees and a fleet of 30 helicopters across its three locations.
Babcock International is a global company that focuses on providing products and services to the defence and aviation sectors. The divestment is part of a plan to streamline the company and keep focus on its key markets.
