AP Pension has acquired the Danish activities of the Swedish pension company Skandia.
The transaction includes 93,000 Danish pension customers and total savings of DKK 33bn. AP Pension thereby consolidates its position as the fourth-largest commercial pension company in Denmark.
The acquisition is expected to establish several positive synergies for AP Pension as the companies’ customer bases are quite similar and as both AP Pension and Skandia focus on company pension plans.
