Danish pharmaceutical wholesaler sold to private equity fund

The Danish pharmaceutical wholesaler Tjellesen Max Jenne has been sold to the private equity fund Erhvervsinvest. The seller is the group McKesson Europe AG.

Tjellesen Max Jenne is a Danish pharmaceutical wholesaler and distributor. The company supplies pharmaceutical products, pharmacy-related goods and medical equipment to private and hospital pharmacies. Tjellesen Max Jenne and Nomeco are the only two approved Danish medical supply wholesalers that sell pharmaceutical products and other goods to Danish pharmacies.

Tjellesen Max Jenne has been owned by McKesson Europe AG since 2006, and the divestment is a result of changes in McKesson Europe AG’s strategy.

McKesson Europe AG is Europe’s largest pharmaceutical distributor with sales to more than 55,000 pharmacies. The company has offices in 13 European countries and has 38,000 employees.

Accura advised McKesson Europe AG in collaboration with the international law firm Linklaters.
