ag analytics sells majority interest to Monterro

The owners of the Danish tech company ag analytics have sold a majority interest to the Swedish software investor Monterro.

ag analytics has developed an AI-powered platform that helps the automotive industry automate and tailor customer contact in the aftermarket based on personalised information, such as maintenance, vehicle inspections, repairs and tyre changes. More than 70% of the Danish automotive industry already use ag analytics’ platform. In addition to Denmark, the company also provides services to customers in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Germany, Spain, Italy and the UK.

ag analytics was founded in 1997 and employs approx. 30 people at the headquarter in Copenhagen. The management, consisting of Johnny Heinemann, Kristian Lautrup and CEO Nicholas Malcolm, will continue as minority shareholders in the company.

Monterro invests in and develops Nordic B2B software businesses. Monterro has offices in Stockholm, Oslo and Munich and has raised more than EUR 1.3 billion since 2012. The investment in ag analytics is Monterro’s fourth investment in Denmark in just two years.

With Monterro as majority owners, the plan is to accelerate ag analytics’ European expansion.
