Accura is relocating to Nordhavn

After four years of working on its new office building, Accura passes a major milestone when the Danish law firm opens its new and innovative office building in Nordhavn.

On 17 April 2023, Accura will relocate to Trælastholmen in Nordhavn, which is one of the new, sustainable neighbourhoods in Copenhagen, Denmark. The neighbourhood is characterised by exciting architecture formed by facades in light colours surrounded by excavated canals, trees planted in green areas and promenades right next
to the water.

”Our ambition is to create an office building that matches our focused strategy, DNA and ambitions in terms of size, expression and location. At the same time, it must provide the perfect setting for a visionary consultancy business assisting Danish and international clients”, Accura’s partner and CEO Ivan Madsen said at the beginning of the construction of Alexandriahuset back in 2019.

”Since the beginning of the construction, Accura has enjoyed considerable growth in the number of employees, going from 275 to more than 500. However, we have succeeded in keeping our ambition intact by extending our location in Nordhavn to two full floors in Orienthuset located next door to Alexandriahuset – also right on the waterfront. The two buildings combined will create the setting for the future Accura”, Ivan Madsen continues.

A modern and future-proof building incorporating the local area
Alexandriahuset comprises 10,500 m2 distributed on five floors plus an underground car park of 2,500 m2 and has been designed by Danielsen Architecture. The choice of materials is inspired by the classic, modernist commercial buildings built in Copenhagen almost 100 years ago.

During the construction phase, there has been a sharp focus on incorporating the local area, for example, in the form of the surrounding canals and on developing creative, green and sustainable solutions. It is a pivotal element in the design that the facades and edge zones of the building contribute to the urban life of the neighbourhood.

Orienthuset has been designed by Arkitema. The history of Trælastholmen has been the inspiration for the many, beautiful wood materials used inside on all six floors of the building. Accura will occupy two full floors and will have Denmark’s Export and Investment Fund (EIFO) as its neighbour in the building which comprises a total of 17,000 m2.

Accura has given considerable weight to the area and the location, and particularly the infrastructure with the metro station Orientkaj and the Copenhagen harbour buses close by will make it easy for employees and clients to go to and from the new office building.
Both buildings live up to the strict sustainability requirements for the area set out in the local plan and are, therefore, DGNB Gold certified and DGNB Platinum certified, respectively.

”In our new surroundings, we have created a modern and functional setting with a unique interior decoration focused on detail. Here, simple, rough and durable materials such as wood, glass and natural stone have been combined with custom-made furniture in natural colours and colourful, versatile and unique artwork. We look forward to becoming part of and to contributing actively to the local area in Nordhavn and not least to show you our new, beautiful setting”, Ivan Madsen says.
