Accura continues its journey

In 2022, Accura continued to deliver on its focused strategy and realised net revenue of DKK 863.8m for 2022. Progress in all teams and the successful establishment of a new business area are the main reasons for this growth.

Solid core business
Even though 2022 has been a year of considerable geopolitical tension and macroeconomic challenges, Accura has continued to deliver on its focused strategy to be the preferred advisor on complex transactions and projects. Accura has maintained and strengthened its position as the leading transaction firm in Denmark. This led to Accura receiving the M&A Legal Advisor of the Year (Denmark) Award from the leading international rating agency Mergermarket for the third consecutive year.

In 2022, Accura realised net revenue of DKK 863.8m compared to DKK 725.6m in 2021. ”We’re very satisfied with our performance in 2022. The revenue increase was driven, among other things, by a high level of activity in society in general on both the national and international transaction markets, particularly in the first half of 2022, and by Accura’s new renewable energy business area,” says Ivan Madsen, partner and CEO of Accura.

In 2022, Accura advised on more than 100 M&A and ECM transactions and a substantial number of real estate transactions. Today, Accura is a market-leading provider of transaction advice, and our expert teams are top-tier ranked within their respective areas of expertise. All teams have grown their businesses in 2022.

New business area puts Accura on the world map
Accura opened 2022 with the establishment of a new business area within renewable energy and was joined by 30 leading specialists who advise global clients on complex renewable energy projects. By the end of 2022, the team had doubled to more than 60 employees, and, in mid-2023, it is made up of more than 90 team members of 15 different nationalities working in offices in Copenhagen, Aarhus, Boston, London, Singapore and Tokyo.

”We’re proud that, thanks to our renewable energy business area, we’re able to contribute to placing a massive focus on and interest in establishing long-term, sustainable solutions in the energy sector. We are, of course, pleased that the team has achieved considerable success since day one, and we’re also pleased that we’ve succeeded in attracting so many more employees from as many as 15 different countries to our team,” says Thomas Weincke, partner and chairman of Accura’s board of directors.

Major addition of new employees
The development implies that, again in 2022, Accura recruited employees to just about all teams and increased its headcount from 350 to 480 employees during 2022. ”Skilled employees are essential for us to continue the development we’re undergoing and to maintain our market position,” says Thomas Weincke. He continues, ”Our ability to continue to attract, develop and retain skilled and talented employees – also abroad – is and continues to be a strategic focus area for us.”

The development has continued into the first quarter of 2023, during which the headcount topped the 500-employee mark.

Continued focus on delivering on the strategy
Accura will continue to deliver on its strategy to be the preferred advisor on complex transactions and projects while focusing strongly on maintaining Accura’s special DNA and developing the business culture.

In April 2023, Accura moved to Nordhavn and continues its journey in Copenhagen from its new offices. ”Our new offices match our focused strategy, DNA and ambitions in terms of expression and location,” says Ivan Madsen. He continues, ”Our new surroundings will provide the setting for the future Accura.”
