The American private equity fund Francisco Partners has acquired EG from Axcel for DKK 3.7bn.
EG is a leading Scandinavian software company located in Ballerup, Denmark. The company has 9,500 private and public customers in Scandinavia and Poland and employs approx. 1,200 people.
Since Axcel took over EG A/S in 2013, the company has experienced substantial growth and has completed several bolt-on acquisitions.
Francisco Partners is a leading global private equity fund specialised in technology investments. Over the past 19 years, the company has raised more than USD 14bn and has invested in more than 200 technology companies.
The transaction is conditional on the usual public authority approvals.
