The Danish Association of Employment Lawyers (Ansættelsesadvokater) has given H.G. Carlsen’s Award to Morten Langer, who is partner in Accura’s Employment Law Team.

Morten Langer is one of Denmark’s most experienced experts in the private labour market where he has represented businesses for almost 30 years.

He receives the Award as an honour and appreciation of his ”special, long-standing contribution within labour and employment law”.

Among other reasons, the award committee has chosen Morten Langer because he has been engaged in the area on a very high, professional level since he completed his legal education in 1990.

The committee’s reason for giving the Award to Morten Langer is:

“Morten is one of the leading experts within employment law. This e.g. appears from several books of which he is the author or co-author. Moreover, Morten Langer is an experienced litigator and has argued several cases of general public importance before the Danish Supreme Court and the Court of Justice of the European Union. Morten Langer has also taught courses at university level and given numerous lectures and presentations at professional events and courses”.

The award committee also notes that Morten Langer is widely recognised for his in-depth professional insight, has actively contributed to promoting good collegiate relationships and is a generally esteemed, prominent representative of the profession.

H.G. Carlsen’s Award is the greatest recognition within employment law.

With respect to the Award, Accura’s COO Ivan Madsen says the following: “We are pleased and proud on behalf of both Morten and Accura. It is a very special and well-deserved recognition supporting Accura’s commitment to this important area.

Morten Langer passes the financial appreciation directly on to the Street Lawyers (Gadejuristen) on Vesterbro, Copenhagen.

About H.G. Carlsen’s Award
The board of directors of the Danish Association of Employment Lawyers established H.G. Carlsen’s Award in 2008.

Attorney H.G. Carlsen was a pioneer within the development of the legal discipline of employment law. In addition to being a very active litigator and advisor, he published the first edition of Dansk Funktionærret (the law of master and servant) which was the leading representation of the law of master and servant for many years. To this very day, it is still an essential part of employment law literature. H.G. Carlsen died in 2001.

With the Award, the Danish Association of Employment Lawyers wants to raise awareness of the development within the legal discipline of labour and employment law.

The award recipient is invited to give a lecture before the members of the Association in connection with the annual general meeting and receives DKK 25,000 together with the Award.
