The Danish publisher Watch Medier has acquired a 70% interest in the German niche medium Versicherungsmonitor.
Versicherungsmonitor covers the German insurance sector and is the leading digital medium within its niche. The subscribers include senior managements of nearly all insurance companies and insurance brokers in Germany and many decision-makers from the corporate sector and public authorities.
Versicherungsmonitor is based in Cologne.
Watch Medier is owned by JP/Politikens Hus and employs more than 100 journalists. The group publishes several sector-specific media directed at the corporate sector and decision-makers.
Watch Medier publishes 15 subscription media in Denmark, including AdvokatWatch, EjendomsWatch, FinansWatch and KapitalWatch, and 3 publications in Norway and 1 in Germany.
Watch Medier’s editorial office is located in Copenhagen.
With the acquisition of Versicherungsmonitor, Watch Medier wants to further develop the German insurance medium and strengthen the presence on the German market which already includes the publication of the financial medium FinanzBusiness.
