The Danish digital learning platform Meebook has been sold to Visma.
Meebook has developed the most widely used digital learning platform in Danish primary and secondary schools. The cloud-based software solution has been implemented in 45 Danish municipalities, making everyday life easier for teachers, students and parents.
Meebook was formed in 2011 by Jesper Rømer, Søren Adolph and Nanna Sandberg Bentel with a mission of developing a digital teaching tool that has a focal point of learning and didactics, rather than IT and technology.
Visma is a leading provider of mission-critical cloud software with more than 15,000 employees and 1.7 million customers across Europe and Latin America. In Denmark, Visma consists of 25 independent businesses specialised in mission-critical cloud software servicing more than 350,000 private Danish businesses and the public sector.
The addition of Meebook will strengthen Visma’s position in the educational sector in Denmark and the Nordic countries.
