Swisspearl Group acquires fibre cement producer

The Swiss fibre cement producer Swisspearl Group has acquired the Danish company Cembrit. The seller is Solix who has owned Cembrit since 2015.

Cembrit develops and produces construction materials out of fibre cement for roofs, facades etc. The company has existed since 1927 and has approx. 1,400 employees.

Cembrit is headquartered in Aalborg, Denmark, and provides customer services and technical support locally in more than 20 countries and has 5 production sites in Finland, Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland.

Swisspearl Group is owned by the Swiss Aplstaeg family. With the acquisition of Cembrit, Swisspearl Group creates the second-largest producer of fibre cement in Europe and now employs approx. 2,600 people.
