Scandic and Hilton have entered into a multi-year strategic partnership agreement to develop new hotels in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland.
As part of the partnership, the parties plan to establish a new 284-room Hilton hotel in Scanport near Copenhagen Airport. The hotel will be operated by Scandic under a franchise agreement with Hilton and is expected to open in 2029.
The hotel will feature a restaurant, bar, meeting and conference facilities, a wellness area, fitness facilities and a lounge overlooking the Øresund strait. Skanska is involved in the development of the project.
The partnership agreement will enable Scandic to develop and operate new hotels under Hilton’s international hotel brands, while allowing Hilton to expand its presence across the Nordics.
Scandic and Hilton have worked together for more than 20 years, and Scandic already operates three Hilton hotels in Helsinki.
