The multinational French group Saint-Gobain has sold the Danish business Glassolutions A/S. The buyer is the German glass manufacturer Semcoglas Holding GmbH.
Glassolutions A/S is Denmark’s leading distributor of advanced glass solutions that effectively lower energy consumption and improve inflow of light. The company employs 160 people on 6 manufacturing and distribution locations in Denmark, and the transaction is completed as a carve-out from Saint-Gobain’s other Nordic activities within building materials.
Saint-Gobain is a global leading manufacturer and distributor of building materials and other industrial products with more than 167,000 employees worldwide. Glassolutions A/S has been a part of the Saint-Gobain Group since 1976, and the divestment is a part of a strategy to optimise Saint-Gobain’s portfolio of businesses.
Accura advised Saint-Gobain in connection with the transaction, including in relation to the planning of carve-out and the conclusion of a large agreement on the provision of transition services.
