Momentum Energy Group A/S (“Momentum”) and Reel have concluded an agreement to launch a new hybrid power purchase agreement (PPA), integrating solar and battery energy storage (BESS) into one single PPA.
The agreement concerns the sale of electricity from a new hybrid solar and battery park in Aunslev in Nyborg Municipality, Denmark. The project comprises a solar PV plant with an annual production of approximately 36GWh and a co-located battery plant of 8.4MW/16.8MWh. Under the PPA, businesses may purchase a fixed amount of power over a number of years with the option of delivery at times of high demand, not only when production is taking place. The project is expected to be commissioned in early 2027.
Momentum is responsible for the development and establishment of the hybrid solar and battery park, while Reel is responsible for the sale of the PPA as well as balancing and delivery of power once the plant has been commissioned.
