In connection with the construction and housing political agreement which the current Danish government concluded in May 2023, the Ministry of Social Affairs, Housing and Senior Citizens has set up a committee to investigate how to tailor a less bureaucratic and more agile obligation to make a general offer to tenants.
At the request of a trade association participating in the ministerial working group, Accura’s asset management sub-team has provided elaborating input to the working group and has contributed to the legislative history work, which will result in a more flexible obligation to make a general offer to tenants.
Today, landlords use extensive resources on fulfilling their obligation to make a general offer to tenants, but the huge amount of work rarely results in new cooperative housing associations. Accura’s asset management sub-team’s input to the working group will, hopefully, contribute to a legislative amendment to benefit our clients in future.
