Parken Sport & Entertainment has entered into a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the energy company Andel, which will cover around half of the group’s annual electricity consumption in future. This also applies to Parken and the group’s three Lalandia centres.
The power will come from Andel’s newest solar park in Vedde in central Zealand, which is now connected to the grid. The solar park contains more than 180,000 solar panels and covers an area of approx. 151 football fields. The agreement ensures that a large part of Parken’s consumption is matched by solar energy.
The partnership with Andel is part of F.C. Copenhagen’s ForKBH project aimed at increasing the club’s community engagement and contribution to the Danish capital.
