The private equity fund Niam has sold its Danish residential portfolio, several business properties and the real estate company HD Ejendomme in one of the largest real estate transactions ever completed on the Danish market.
The total price is DKK 12.1bn, and the buyer is the Swedish property investment company Heimstaden.
The transaction includes more than 6.200 residential properties in 152 properties and 35 business properties spread across Denmark.
A large portion of the residential portfolio has been constructed within the past 20 years, and more than 30% has been constructed since 2017. The business properties primarily consist of logistics buildings and warehouses as well as industrial properties.
The transaction is subject to the approval by the Danish competition authorities.
