MT Højgaard company acquires construction company

The Danish contracting company Enemærke & Petersen, who is owned by MT Højgaard, has acquired the construction and carpentry company Raunstrup.

The acquisition includes the 3 operating companies Raunstrup Byggeri, Raunstrup Bygningsservice and Raunstrup Tømrer.

Raunstrup has more than 300 employees at its headquarters in Aarhus and the departments in Randers, Silkeborg, Vejle, Odense and Copenhagen.

Enemærke & Petersen is a market leader within renovation of social dwellings and has extensive experience of renovation of schools, hospitals, day care centres and cooperative housing and owners’ associations, etc.

As a result of the acquisition of Raunstrup, Enemærke & Petersen will expand its business in eastern and central Jutland and in Funen where Raunstrup has a strong market position. Moreover, the acquisition will also strengthen Enemærke & Petersen’s activities within building maintenance services.

The day-to-day operation of Raunstrup will continue after the acquisition, and the Raunstrup name will be maintained.

The transaction is conditional on the approval of the Danish competition authorities and usual closing conditions.
