Midstar acquires Marienlyst Strandhotel and Admiral Hotel

The Nordic hotel investor Midstar has acquired both the operation and the properties behind the hotels Marienlyst Strandhotel and Admiral Hotel in Copenhagen.

Marienlyst Strandhotel is known as North Zealand’s leading hotel with both hotel, spa, conference facilities and casino. Midstar has also concluded a lease agreement with the ESS Group as a tenant of the hotel.

Admiral Hotel is one of the leading hotels in Copenhagen with a central location and 366 rooms.

The Swedish Midstar Hotels was formed in 2015 and, together with large Swedish investors such as Alecta, Kåpan, PRI Pensionsgaranti and Riksbankens Jubileumsfond, Midstar Hotels has invested in several hotels. The company was formed for the sole purpose of investing in existing hotel properties. Today, Midstar Hotels has 26 hotels, of which 13 are located in Sweden, 9 in Norway and 4 in Denmark, with a total of 4,065 rooms.

A team headed by Jakob Schou Midtgaard and Camilla Ritnagel Larsen advised Midstar in connection with the transactions. Jakob and Camilla provided the advice before joining Accura.
