Kompasbank receives its banking licence

A new Danish bank has received its banking licence from the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority and is expected to be ready to welcome customers during the summer 2021.

The new bank’s name is kompasbank, and it will focus on small and medium-sized businesses.

kompasbank provides its customers with a new digital infrastructure which makes all aspects of the business more effective. The purpose is to help small and medium-sized businesses to accelerate growth through tailored solutions and digital tools which used to be reserved mainly to large businesses.

kompasbank’s promoter and CEO is Michael Hurup Andersen who has previously been with Saxo Bank, Deloitte etc. Jeppe Brøndum is chairman of the board of directors and founding investor. He has previously been the CEO of Blackstone in Denmark.
