The Danish company Ellepot, who produces machines, propagation trays, specially developed paper and pots for horticultural businesses, has been sold to a group of investors consisting of Kirk Kapital and Karsten Ree Holding. The seller is the Danish private equity fund Capidea.
In connection with the transaction, Ellepot merges with the Danish business PlantPaper who develops propagation systems for horticultural businesses and agriculture just like Ellepot. The new company will continue under the name Ellepot.
The merger of the two companies provides the possibility of accelerating international growth and consolidating the market position within sustainable propagation solutions. After the merger, the company will be present on five continents and have 18 partners selling the company’s solutions in more than 120 countries.
The merger is subject to approval by the authorities.
