After having received all the required regulatory approvals, IBM has completed its acquisition of the two platforms StreamSets and webMethods from German Software AG for USD 2.3bn.
StreamSets is used to send out large quantities of data through systems based on artificial intelligence to train and refine them, while Webmethods is used to allow individual systems to interact. Currently, StreamSets and Webmethods provide services to more than 1,500 business worldwide and will help strengthen IBM’s focus on artificial intelligence and cloud technology.
IBM is one of the world’s largest tech businesses with activities in more than 175 countries. The company was formed in 1911 and develops and sells software and hardware products, infrastructure services and consultancy services, and the like.
