Accura has advised the owners of European Sperm Bank ApS (“ESB”), Peter Bower and Annemette Arndal-Lauritzen, in connection with the sale of ESB to the private equity fund Axcel.
Peter Bower formed ESB in 2004 and, since then, ESB has experienced strong international growth and today ESB employs 80 people. Peter Bower will continue on the board of directors and Annemette Arndal-Lauritzen will continue as chief executive officer of ESB. Moreover, both Peter Bower and Annemette Arndal-Lauritzen will continue as minority shareholders in ESB.
The purpose of selling ESB to the private equity fund is, among other things, to boost the international expansion. The demand for ESB’s services is increasing as more and more couples and single people need help conceiving a child, both nationally and internationally.
Accura advised the sellers and ESB in connection with the sale.
