The listed American group Digital Realty has concluded an agreement on the acquisition of the listed, leading European operator of data centres Interxion for DKK 56.8bn.
Interxion is the largest European provider of so-called cloud- and carrier-neutral colocation data centre services. Interxion operates more than 50 data centres in 11 European countries with over 700 connectivity providers. In Denmark, Interxion’s primary activities are in the data centres located in Ballerup and Valby, where work is continually being carried out to further develop the facilities at international level.
Interxion’s activities are in line with Digital Realty’s product portfolio which is primarily within the operation and development of data centres, network and cloud solutions.
The purpose of Digital Realty’s acquisition of Interxion is to become the leading global provider of data centres, colocation and interconnection solutions.
