Terma has entered into an agreement to acquire Danish technology company Dencrypt A/S (“Dencrypt”), which develops solutions for secure and encrypted communications.
Dencrypt was founded in 2013 based on technology originating from research at the Technical University of Denmark, DTU. The company has developed the Connex platform, which is used for encrypted voice calls, video calls and messaging on smartphones, tablets and computers. Dencrypt’s solutions are used by Danish ministries and public authorities, among others.
With the acquisition, Terma is expanding its activities within secure digital communications and encryption. Terma also expects to make further investments in Dencrypt and support the expansion of the company’s solutions in Denmark, the Nordic region and the rest of Europe.
Dencrypt will continue under its current management and with approximately 30 employees across the company’s locations in Brøndby and Aalborg.
The transaction is subject to the necessary regulatory approvals.
Accura advised Dencrypt on the transaction.
