Den Sociale Kapitalfond Invest becomes largest shareholder of Koatek

Den Sociale Kapitalfond Invest has acquired 45% of the shares in the industrial company Koatek supplying customised metal and plastic components to Danish and international businesses. Koatek is located in Jægerspris, Denmark. The company employs more than 75 people.

The original majority shareholder and CEO Bo Olsen continues as co-owner. The company’s production manager and the new chairman of the board of directors join as co-owners.

Den Sociale Kapitalfond Invest is Denmark’s first private equity fund focusing both on generating a financial return and achieving a social effect. Koatek has a strong focus on social responsibility which is manifested in their employment, skill enhancement and retention of employees with special needs. Den Sociale Kapitalfond Invest has received funds from e.g. the European Investment Fund, the Danish Growth Fund, TryghedsGruppen, the Novo Nordisk Foundation, Ferd Social Entrepreneurs, Færchfonden, the Hempel Foundation, Sparekassen Sjælland-Fyn, Østifterne and Færch og Døtre.
