Den Sociale Kapitalfond Invest becomes co-owner of treatment centres

Den Sociale Kapitalfond Invest has acquired a significant minority share in the treatment centres Langebjerggaard, operating four supportive housings, a three-year youth education for young people with special needs, a special needs school, a technical and vocational school and supported housing for autists and providing care and support in own home.

Langebjerggaard was formed in 2018 with the ambition to ensure better development possibilities and quality of life for vulnerable children, adolescents and adults in society. Today, Langebjerggaard has approx. 100 employees of whom several are from vulnerable backgrounds themselves.

Den Sociale Kapitalfond Invest is Denmark’s first private equity fund focusing both on generating a financial return and achieving social impact. The fund came from Den Sociale Kapitalfond which has collaborated with far more than 100 socially responsible businesses on investments and business development since 2011. The investors include the European Investment Fund, the Danish Growth Fund, TryghedsGruppen and the Novo Nordisk Foundation.
