CRI signs agreement to supply its technology to one of the world’s largest E-methanol plants

Carbon Recycling International (“CRI”) has entered a landmark agreement with Tianying Group to supply CRI’s technology to one of the world’s largest E-methanol plants.

CRI is the global leader in the carbon capture and utilisation market with a proprietary CO₂-to-methanol technology, and the only company in the world to have realised dedicated CO₂-to-methanol conversion plants at commercial scale. Tianying Group is a leader within the environmental protection and renewable energy sectors in China.

Based on the agreement between CRI and Tianying Group, CRI’s proprietary CO₂-to-methanol technology will be leveraged to convert captured CO₂ from biomass combustion and green hydrogen produced from renewable-powered electrolysers into 170,000 tons of sustainable E-methanol annually. The operation of the plant is expected to be initiated in 2025.

We are grateful to have been entrusted to assist CRI in connection with this landmark agreement.
