Copenhagen gets new sustainable district

PensionDanmark and CPH City & Port Development have set up a joint venture to develop the Vejland neighbourhood in Amager into a new district with residential properties, day care facilities, municipal primary and lower secondary schools, nature and recreational areas in the years ahead.

The area will become a new sustainable district in Copenhagen, offering 2000 dwellings built in wood materials certified according to the highest sustainability standards.

The construction is expected to begin in 2021.
