Cobi Rehab has acquired the medical equipment manufacturer Careturner.
Careturner is a Danish manufacturer of medical equipment for immobile patients, focusing particularly on supine positioning. The company has developed the medical equipment Careturner, a technical solution installed on beds which automatically changes the patient’s position to relieve pressure and prevent the development of pressure ulcers. The solution also supports nursing staff by reducing heavy lifting in various care settings.
The company was formed in 2014 and sells the solution to nursing homes and retailers in a large number of European countries.
Cobi Rehab specialises in medical equipment for positioning and is a leader in seated positioning with solutions such as their wheelchair Kamille. The company’s customers range from nursing homes and hospitals to institutions.
Cobi Rehab is part of the investment company HMIG’s group, and Careturner was acquired with the expectation of realising a number of synergies for the benefit of the company’s customers and users.
